Starting out as a feature film Story Editor for Universal Pictures, Doug has seen an enormous arc in the development of motion pictures, exhibition patterns, and audience expectations over the years. Doug will be sharing with us his first hand experience as to how he “broke in,” how the Industry has shifted, and how we can all capitalize on the changing model.
RYAN FOLAND is a personal branding expert and acclaimed speaker, and will help you navigate the best way to identify, target, and expand your network, and to maximize your own network effect.
“Think of each experience you have and each person you meet, as individual dots in space. It takes two or more dots to make a line, and the more dots you can connect, the more you will expand the value of your network. There are specific outcomes that happen when you do (or don’t) do certain things. So it helps to know what things to do, and what not to do.”
MATT WEINGLASS (HOST) Producer/Director and Co-Founder of The Sherwood Players.
***SPECTRUM is a quarterly Production Workshop open for all members of our community: The Sherwood Players, a gathering of artists who have created a place where we can get together to share resources and feel support as we develop our ideas and turn them into action. The Entertainment Industry is designed to keep us isolated from each other in our quests to achieve success, but fortunately we can overcome this obstacle by coming together, showing support for one and other and doing whatever it takes to ultimately obtain our goals.
Don’t miss our final Production Workshop of the year with special guest speaker Ken Davitian (Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan). We will also be sharing with you the inside scoop from this year’s American Film Market and we’ll be screening a rough cut of the latest episode of “Crash: The Animated Series” all followed by an Industry Mixer with food and drinks in the lobby.
Limited seating. Reserve your tickets in advance right here https://
